Silent Night

poem by Yevgeniya Przhebelskaya

photography by Gary Bloom

In winter's slumber of despair, in smashing murmurs of the world, in death, destruction, life unfair, "Look for the Savior" I'm told.

"Joy to the world" by Zoom or Facebook the Silent Night is now online; yet Christ is here, living amongst us in lockdowns, hospitals, and roadside.

The night is long, but it's not lonely - the Christmas cake and gifts are fine; we pray to God amidst pandemic, our joy through tears, is ever bright.
